Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 555, August 1914

555. Cross doll, made 20-30 years ago from pine board; the head of the doll is triangular and ends with a trapezoidal cap; the neck of the doll forks in the form of a cross, the wings of which expand outward; below the wings the doll narrows a bit, widens further down and narrows again so it can stick into the ground. Found in the old cemeteries of the village. Dragalevtsi, sofia. Dimensions: 55x33x1. 5 cm. Sketched in august 1914. (vol. 2, obr. 72. ). Date: August 1914.
