Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 319, 25 August 1917

319. Doll-cross in the old cemeteries of the city. Silistra, cut 25-30 years ago from an oak board. The head of the doll is elliptical, with two triangular cutouts on the left and [on] the right, the face is -enlarged with two saw cuts; on the upper part of the head are attached two small jagged ridges and above them a trapezoidal cap; between the head and the lower ridge two more lateral thickened ridges emerge; the corners of the upper and lower side -rails are joined by two cross cuts each made with a saw, another horizontal saw cut is made between the lower side wings and the lower vertical large wing. The doll was wrapped in cloth - this is evidenced by the small nails left on it. Dimensions: 46x17x2. 5 cm. Sketched on 25. Viii. 1917. (vol. 4, obr. 8. ). Date: 25 August 1917.
