Steinlen ta - black stone, blue pencil, heightened with bodycolour - russian children with a ball, the poor and the rich - 30x24. 5cm; the work is dedicated to the painter, illustrator, lithographer, friend and colleague of steinlen, jules hénault (1859-1909), who shortly before 1900 became close to the anarchist movement. It must date approximately from 1905 (in this year steinlen joined the "society of friends of the russian people and annexed peoples" whose president was anatole france). The work was part of the former collection of the famous manadier jean lafont.
