A view of Ørnsø near Silkeborg., Ludvig Kabell, between 1881 and 1902

The experts at bruun rasmussen referred to the location as kuranstalten ørnesø. Nobody else seem to have heard of that. But there is a lake near silkeborg called ørnsø, and near the lake the silkeborg vandkuranstalt was established in 1883, providing healthy mineral water to guests. The view in the painting would hide the establishment behind the trees to the right. In the centre, on the shore of the lake, can be seen ørnsø teglværk (ørnsø brickworks), with the town of silkeborg in the background. Object Type: painting. Date: between 1881 and 1902.
