A dismasted dutch ship and a galjoot in a heavy sea viewed from abaft the starboard beam, a ship with the wind on the port quarter pitching in a sea. Her foremast has carried away below the hounds, her main topmast is struck and she has only a main course and main staysail set. On the left, half hidden by a wave, there is a galjoot before the wind. Two other ships are in the distance. This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the younger. A dismasted dutch ship and a galjoot in a heavy sea. Date: circa 1675. Dimensions: Sheet: 179 x 293 mm; Mount: 405 mm x 557 mm. Collection: Fine art.
