mention must be made of r. White's stately, 1682 signed sheet reproduced here, which is also reproduced in steel engraving. Another beautiful black art leaf is done by
dunkarton 1812. Also beautiful is an engraved sheet executed by l. Cossin after an original by the london-based swedish painter m. Dahl (1656—1743), who executed
a famous portrait of carl xii. Date: circa 1682.
