How humanity is suffering at the moment! what has gone wrong this time? i hope the mail will at least reach you and me! i can still tell you good things about myself; i'm still doing perfectly. There's enough work, but that doesn't matter. In the evenings i have my lovely room, warm and cozy with the radio. Now and again i go out and have lovely days. Apart from the "smoking" i get along very well. You must promise me to eat as well and as "a lot" as you can so that you stay my dear, good mamschl. I keep thinking that it's a good thing that our dad doesn't have to experience this misery anymore; his destroyed vienna would have broken his heart.
