De Haarlemmerhout (1755-1756-), Jan van Varel, between 1755 and 1756
Manuscript map of the haarlemerhout. Top center the coat of arms of haarlem. Depictions of garden tools and fishing supplies on the right and left. Bottom right around the cartouche surveyors' instruments. At the bottom left around the cartouche painting and drawing supplies (see also comments). Pen in black, brush in colors; south top left, with legend and verbal; with scale of 40 rhenish rods; signed and dated. The map was restored in 1984 at the central laboratory for research on objects for art and science
during this restoration it turned out that the representations of the garden and fishing tools were placed on separate sheets on the map. Among the sheets were the family coats of arms of haarlem mayors. It was decided to store the sheets with the tools separately with the map. Date: between 1755 and 1756.
