iconographic description:
death sweeps "the world". Portrait of the viscount of siméon. Genre scene, imaginary characters and caricature. Death: skeleton in popular period costume sweeps: king's crown, sword, cocked hat, purse, miter. Two caricatured portraits including the viscount's face: prominent nose and toupee hairstyle, like a giraffe, (the other portrait is crossed out). Historical commentary:
