Caption for this print: "the night watch rolled up; being transported from castricum to heemskerk ?? see; baard page 41. " the bomb-proof cellars were built in 1940, after the other shelters proved unsafe. After a stay in radbout castle and the municipal air raid shelter in castricum, the night watch was rolled up and housed in the air raid shelters in heemskerk. The new cellars were put into use in 1941. Date: between 1939 and 1941.
