The "capua" built by alexander stephen & sons ltd. , govan in 1889 for the sloman line in hamburg (their house flag is on the second mast). Used for transatlantic freight and passenger service to the united states and could transport max. 600 emigrants. The maiden voyage was made in 1889 to baltimore and the ship was lost missing 3 december 1909 after passing texel on a passage from hamburg for genoa. Date: circa 1900.
