Albert Anker Marie Anker 1884, Albert Anker

Albert anker: portrait of his twelve-year-old daughter marie, around 1884. The painting came into the possession of an austrian countess, lady-in-waiting to empress elisabeth of austria. The countess became impoverished and had to sell the painting. It turned up at a weekly market in bern and was purchased by the current owner.
