The work represents the distinguished dominican theologian saint thomas aquinas, who appears in full body and standing, he is represented with the habit of dominican monks, wearing the white tunic with scapular and black mantle with hood pulled back. With his right hand he holds a pen from which a beam of light rays comes out and in his left he carries a book, objects that refer to his doctrine. A sun hangs above his chest, which is an attribute of his wisdom, and two large wings protrude from behind his back, alluding to the moment when the angels give the saint the girdle of chastity. Above his head, the holy spirit descends from the heavens in the form of a dove to inspire him. Object Type: painting. Genre: religious art.
