En 1735, he was married to marguerite elisabeth mégret d’etigny, daughter of françois-nicolas mégret, seigneur d’etigny, de passy, conseiller d’etat et grand audiencier de france. He died in antwerp on 30 may 1746. Il décède à anvers le 30 mai 1746. He lived at the hotel d'avaray, built for his father by the architect jean-baptiste leroux.
