Wincenty litwinowicz (born 1893, died 1925) was active in the riflemen's association before world war i (he became a section leader). After the outbreak of the war, he joined the polish legions, where he was assigned to the 3rd infantry regiment. On april 1, 1916, he was promoted to ensign, and on april 1, 1917, to infantry second lieutenant. After the oath crisis, he served in the psz. After 1918, he joined the polish army, where he achieved the rank of infantry major (promotion on august 15, 1924). He died in 1925 in warsaw. Awarded vm 5th class, kn, kw. The photo was most likely taken after the first battle of kostiuchnówka (november 4-5, 1915), in which the 3rd infantry regiment took part, suffering heavy losses.
