Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (10/13/1943) letter no. 195 (10/15/1945) next letter (10/17/1943) [the water in the bucket already had] a nice layer of ice. I'm also back with my old group leader from 1941, he's now a sergeant and platoon leader, in the platoon as a messenger. I've got big advantages here, i don't have to stand guard. The others are inside for 2 hours and outside for 2, which is tough. So you see, i'm a bit lucky after all! i can't tell you anything else new, i'm healthy and taking care. Just stay healthy and watch out for the alarm! warmest regards and kisses, your hansl. Has the ek arrived, and the certificate too? Date: 15 October 1943.
