Heinrich Julius v. Lindau, Georg Friedrich Schmoll, 1775

Portrait vignette: julius heinrich von lindau in profile to the left with a hairnet. The portrait was painted during von lindau's stay in zurich in the summer of 1775. The attribution to lips is erroneous. Technically and in terms of composition, it can be attributed to georg friedrich schmoll despite the missing signature. Reduced fig. Lavater ep iii p. 260 no. 2, identified by karin althaus as jh v. Lindau. Date: 1775.
