The artist john bauer (1882–1918) at work, photographed by calla sundbeck (1867–1930). Introduced in the weekly newspaper idun (cf. The stamp on the back)? on the right in the background is the painting sagoprinsessan, which at least in the sketch stage is dated 1904 (see "john bauer: an artist and his fairytale world", nationalmuseum/bra böcker 1982, p. 88). Date: circa 1904–1918.
