"Louis Joseph of Lorraine, Duke of Guise and Prince of Joinville", Jean Petitot, between 1635 and 1670

So-called portrait of louis joseph of lorraine, duke of guise (1650-1671), but is probably a depiction of louis xiv of france (1638-1715) identification proposed by user ecummenic (talk) based on the comparison with some portraits of louis xiv (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this painting to other representations of louis joseph of lorraine. Date: between 1635 and 1670. Medium: enamel portrait miniature. Collection: Victoria and Albert Museum. Petitot - So-caled portrait of Louis Joseph de Lorraine, Duc de Guise and Prince de Joinville - VAM
