Walnut body, carved at several places to represent algae, consisting of two cabinets in the base, an open space under two drawers under a horizontal surface covered with a marble slab, all below an upper small wooden shelf backed by a vertical surface consisting of mottled colored glass representing the sea behind wrought iron in the form of seawood; gilded metal drawer pulls. Date: circa 1905. Dimensions: H x W x D: 157.5 x 124.5 x 47 cm (5 ft. 2 in. x 49 in. x 18 1/2 in.). Medium: iron, marble, stained glass. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
