The painting shows an episode from the life of st. Rochus. It was made by louise seidler based on a sketch by goethe. It is now in the burial chapel of the builder of the new rochus chapel, pastor engelhardt. Note from 1819: “the painting of st. Rochus was delivered by the grand ducal court in saxony-weimar. It was painted by a lutheran noblewoman named luise seidler. The name is on the side of the painting next to the words 'ex voto'.
