My beloved mum! greetings from the heart, how worried i am about you again. The wehrmacht report says that vienna has been heavily attacked again. May god grant that everything is still ok with us! how the news always hits me when i hear that they have raged here again. I always think of that holiday when we were both on the kahlenberg and looked down on our dear, beautiful vienna. I can't imagine that so much has been destroyed now. But anything can happen, as long as you stay healthy. Be careful and always write to me straight away so i can put my mind at ease! when i hear "flights arriving on lower danube" i always think where you are and what you are doing. Now that i am writing this, we are once again on full alert, but luckily, as always, we are only being flown over. I would be so happy if it were as quiet for you as it is for us here.
