In the background rocks, on the left a castle, on the right buildings and a female statue (fortitudo?). Comment: cast. Perforated at the top. - if we follow the theory put forward by some researchers that this piece dates back to an earlier date (around 1431 or 1435 instead of 1441), this medal would represent pisanello's first work in the new medium of the art medal.
