"gathering around a score" by charles baude (1853-1935) after albert aublet (1851-1938). The print shows jules massenet rehearsing manon with american soprano sibyl sanderson in pierre loti's drawing room (pierre loti seems to be shown either by the piano or on the stairs). The original painting was shown at the 1888 salon. Charles baude's etching illustrated the cover of the magazine le théâtre in july 1889. Date: 1889.
