Portrait of a maid of honor with the cipher of empress maria feodorovna and alexandra feodorovna. The miniature came to the louvre museum from the personal collection of baron fernand chevro de christiani (1857-1928). Having studied his family tree, it can be stated that the portrait depicts his maternal grandmother, sofia pavlovna kozlova (1805-10/08/1840), a maid of honor at court (from march 26, 1828). After marrying her cousin, nikolai dmitrievich arsenyev (1803-06/09/1859), she was forced to live abroad with her husband. Both spouses died in france and were buried there. Their daughter, alexandra nikolaevna arsenyeva (1832-1893), was the mother of the last owner of the miniature. Date: 1830s. Dimensions: height: 9.2 cm (3.6 in); width: 7.8 cm (3 in). Medium: miniature on ivory. Collection: Louvre Museum. Signs by Jacques Augustin
