Aeneas receiving a new set of armour from the forge of vulcan on the order of venus. In the middle aeneas kneels before venus. A cupid offers him a helmet. Other pieces of armour are laying on the ground. In the sky putti are tumbling through the air, one of which is holding a laurer wreath. To the left four blacksmiths are working over a fire. Part of five paintings that served as wall hangings of the achterzaal (back room) of nieuwegracht 6 in utrecht.
