Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1942-12-08) letter no. 115 (1942-12-11) next letter (1942-12-13) envelope: front back text east, december 11, 1942 my dear mum! thank you very much for your lovely letter and card dated november 28th. I was particularly pleased to receive the photos. The letter about the holidaymakers arrived just in time. I am particularly pleased that you sorted out the matter with the stamps so nicely. Even though we are well looked after, it is always a special joy when a package arrives, no matter how small. The fact that the relatives are so nice is a consolation to me, but dear mum, now i have to complain again. If fählers send you packages of apples then you should keep them for yourself! they will send me something too. Don't worry about what you should send to frauheim [rače-fram in slovenia???], there's nothing there anyway! i didn't send a stamp to the office, but i did send two christmas wishes! it looks like begging. Date: 11 December 1942.
