She's engaged on her right with 'britannia', 100 guns, port-quarter view, preceded by 'london', 96 guns, followed by 'st andrew', 96 guns. In the left in the background, the 'royal william', 100 guns, is in close action with a french flagship. In left foreground, a french two-decker is sinking, stern on, with her crew transferring to a small boat under her stern. In right foreground a small dismasted english ketchd and the wreck of another ship is on the right in the foreground. Object Type: painting. Date: 18th century.
