Signed johannes hispalensis. The triptych represents the virgin mary and the child jesus accompanied by musical angels with saint peter and saint paul. In the central table, twice as wide as the side panels, it presents the virgin enthroned and the child on her lap, with the phylactery "i am the alpha and the omega. " four angels with musical instruments surround mary and, in the wings of the triptych, saint paul and saint peter are effigy. The sacred figures appear on gilded and embossed backgrounds, under arches with gilded and ornate tracery. Object Type: painting. Date: between circa 1400 and circa 1410.
