*hans weiditz printer's mark designed by weiditz for johann schott symbol of divine power striking the ungodly: a nobleman falls from a horse after being struck by the hand of god holding a scepter; the stork's nest is the symbol of piety and justice. This mark appears on the last verso leaf of martin bucer, summary seiner predigt daselbst gethon, j. Schott, 1523 preserved at the national and university library of strasbourg, presented during the hans baldung grien exhibition at the musée de l'oeuvre notre-dame. Date: 1523.
