There was much demand for the paintings produced by the workshop headed by tsunenobu. This painting is one of a set of four depicting mt. Fuji in the four seasons. The mountain, an axis for japan, becomes a kind of pivot for the passing seasons. Date: late 17th-early 18th century (Edo). Place of creation: Japan.
