A dogger at anchor
robinson considers that this drawing is ‘probably’ by van de velde the younger. However, it may have been drawn over by a later hand which ‘throws some doubt on the whole drawing’ which has a false signature in the lower left corner. There is a drawing of a small boeier on the reverse. A dogger was a dutch fishing vessel. The drawing has the false signature 'w. V. V. J'. A dogger at anchor. Date: circa 1700. Dimensions: Sheet: 288 x 189 mm; Mount: 557 mm x 405 mm. Collection: Fine art.
