Finished drawing for pl 11 of "industry and idleness" (1747), "the idle 'prentice executed at tyburn"; crowds and incidents, in centre woman crying a broadsheet of 'the last dying speech and confession of thomas fowler', spectators in carts and on stand to left, in mid-distance, coach of the 'ordinary' of newgate, followed by cart with idle reading prayer book and propped on coffin, troop of cavalry to right, gallows in distance pen and black ink with grey wash, over graphite, and accidental (?) splash of bodycolour, indented for transfer verso: powdered grey chalk.
