A Danish patrol ship anchored at Aasiaat., Emanuel Petersen, between 1921 and 1948

Petersen first visited greenland in 1921. The experts at bruun rasmussen described this as the ingolf, built in 1934, but she looked nothing like this. Both ingolf and hvidbjørnen had their foremast behind the bridge, while the ship in the painting has it in front of the bridge, as on the beskytteren or (the most likely fit) islands falk. Object Type: painting. Date: between 1921 and 1948. Dimensions: height: 54 cm (21.2 in); width: 67 cm (26.3 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Unknown. Emanuel A.
