A young woman having her child breast-fed by a goat, line engraving by michel olivier le bas reproducing a painting by henriette lorimier exhibited in paris at the salon of 1804 (number 310 of the booklet): a young woman - having been unable to continue to breast-feed her child, she watches him suckle the goat who takes her place, and abandons herself to the reflections that her situation gives rise to.
