"military station near the city of chokien". From the text of the book (vol i, pp. 53 sq. ), "chokien" or "cho-kien" was located on the "pei-ho"; it can be surmised that this is the same place that appears in other 19th-century accounts and maps as "ho-kien[-fou]", i. E. Hejian. Date: 1843.
