Flooding in Hallingdal, Johannes Flintoe, 1819

"travelsketches" by johannes flintoe, where he commented on the difficulties of travelling in norway. Later his friend maurits hansen wrote texts to accompany them and the publisher hans thøger winther advertised them for sale in the newspaper morgenbladet. In his will flintoe bequeathed some of the "travelsketches" to the painter hans gude. Gude gave 37 of them as a gift to the national gallery of norway in 1902. Object Type: drawing. Date: 1819.
