Rescue of the crew of 'intrepid' and 'iphigenia' in motor launch 282 the inscription to the right bottom corner reads: "0. 1 30 percy dean m l 282 20 seamen in tin hats. All wearing anti gas gear. Officers 3 in tin hats, one without. 40 stokers without. All in life belts". This relates to an action on 22 and 23 april 1918, at zeebrugge, belgium, after 'intrepid' and 'iphigenia' had been scuttled. Pad9883 and pad9885 are related studies. Date: 1918.
