Title page to a tract entitled "europe nooit voor een", no. 29 in the series entitled "esopus in europa"; in the centre, an etching showing a lionness (britain) and a fox (? the netherlands) clipping the claws of the french tiger while two other lions approach from the right. In the background, the tiger is shown throwing the heads of panthers (the french allies, savoy and bavaria) out of a stockade beside a monument with the legend, "sic pax cum tigribus esto". The imperial eagle hovers above and, in the distance, a variety of animals dance around a pole bearing a laurel wreath. 1702 etching with letterpress printed in black ink. Date: 1702.
