The mother of god's maphorion is decorated with golden stars and fringe. Obviously a copy of a sample from the second half of the 14th century, but with noticeable distortions and italian influences in style. The composition is cramped, the figures overlap the field of the ark, the drawing is simplified, especially the shoulders and neck of gabriel; his left foot is depicted with three toes. The throne of the mother of god is conveyed only by the image of the pillows and the footstool directly on the dark green soil. The coloring is soft and gloomy. The icon probably comes from the macedonian center of the 16th century.
