A young woman with light hair delivers a sharp kick to the shin of her kneeling husband. With her left hand she squeezes the man's right wrist, who is holding a stick, and with her right hand throws her bunch of keys in his face; the unfortunate man, his hat fallen to the ground, puts his hand to his bloody forehead. On the left, a little girl beats her brother with her fists, while, on the right of the image, a hen kills a rooster from which she tears out some feathers. Hidden in the alley of the bed, on the left, another man, the lover, witnesses the scene. To the right, a fire burns in the hearth; next to the fireplace hangs an image representing the virgin and saint john at the foot of the cross.
