This portrait perhaps represents jacques vivier (1752-1782) when he was still a very young officer cadet, probably before 1770. His father paul vivier, lord of vaugouin and shipowner, had married anne-marie rocaute. For his part, squire and lord of nolleau, jacques vivier, after having provided his proof of nobility, entered the champagne regiment, then became first lieutenant in the austrasie regiment.
