Ceiling decoration in stucco in the large hall of the former craft house of the brewers, onderbergen 36-38 (corner zwartezustersstraat, formerly wagenaerstraat, opposite the now disappeared dominican church), ghent. Work by sculptor jan hansche, 1673. The ceiling is made up of five parts and shows mythological scenes and coats of arms. From left to right (entrance to the hall):
1) objects that refer to the brewing craft, a seated allegorical figure, the name of the sculptor jan hansche and the year 1673;
2) from the twelve labors of herakles (hercules): killing the hydra of lerna (top) and killing the lion of nemea (bottom);
3) the coats of arms of the brewing craft and of pierre dellafaille, forerunners of the keure in ghent, and central phaëton who is hurled from the sun chariot of his father helios;
4) from the twelve labors of herakles: defeating the amazons (top) and capturing the bull of crete, father of the minotaur (bottom);
