Allegory of Peace and Justice, Corrado Giaquinto, 1754

The allegory is the second version of a painting made by giaquinto for king ferdinand vi to decorate the royal palace of madrid. Giaquinto painted it for the board room of the academy and it remained there until 1885 when it was deposited in the prado (where the first version with changes from this one is preserved today), it was returned to the academy in 1989. The preparatory sketch for the prado painting is in the indianapolis museum of art. Date: 1754. Collection: Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. Alegoría de la Paz y la Justicia
