Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 76

76. Cross - tombstone, around the cemeteries of the village. Roman, vrachansko. Carved in 1880. Of gray whetstone. Four-winged; its upper wings are trapezoidal, arcing outwards; the lower is quartered, based on a large quartered plinth, on the face of which is carved a shallow niche with an inscription, and below this a small arched niche for a lamp. A four-winged cross is engraved on the face of the cross. The topmost wing of the monument bears a cone-shaped apple 4 cm in diameter. Dimensions: 84x31x9 cm. Sketched on 20. Vii. 1916. (item 8, amendment 81. ).
