Portrait of john adams at the united states senate. Gilbert stuart , painted an original in about 1800-1815, which was later copied by george peter alexander healy in 1861. This healy copy was later copied by eliphalet frazer andrews, who sold this work to the senate through architect of the capitol edward clark.
