View at the Wasserturm in Nuremberg., August Fischer, 1916

For some reason the experts at bruun rasmussen chose the title rakkerens tårn i nürnberg. The title means the executioners tower, or in german henkerturm. There is such a tower in nuremberg, but it is just to the right - on the other end of the bridge - of the wasserturm shown on the painting. Fischer made a very similar, but smaller, painting from the same spot in 1913. And in 1911 he actually painted the henkerturm. Object Type: painting. Date: 1916. Dimensions: height: 54 cm (21.2 in); width: 43 cm (16.9 in). Medium: oil on canvas. August Fischer - Parti fra Wasserturm i Nürnberg - 1916
