Copernicus portrait from the woodcut in nicolaus reusner's († 1602) "icones" (1587), which was probably made by de:christoph murer († 1614) after an alleged self-portrait of copernicus. This portrait became the model for a series of other woodcut, copperplate engraving and painting portraits of copernicus. Date: 1587.
