Watercolor done by elias martin around the year 1785, showing the finnish galley squadron of the army's fleet outside vaxholm. To the left is a galley with two cannons in the stern, and in front of this a saloon sloop under rowing. On the right in the picture is an archipelago frigate, björn järnsida, which was built in 1774 in karlskrona according to drawings by chapman. It is of the turuma type. We also see several dinghies, and vaxholm's fortress looms on the horizon. The watercolor is named at the bottom as "weu af waxholm och finska galär esqadern" and signed with "signerad e martin pinxit. No 13". The watercolor belonged to crown prince gustaf adolf and crown princess margareta. Date: 1 January 1785.
