Plate 2 from the third set of thomas and william daniells' 'oriental scenery. ' raja man singh of amber (1587-1614) was a rajput noble in the service of the mughal emperors akbar and jahangir. For a time the hill fort of rohtasgarh was his headquarters when he was subahdar (viceroy) of bengal and bihar.
